get an apology
Out of all the rooms in my house, my room is my favourite. That is because I
can feel that it's completely mine and can do, to a certain extent,
what I want with it. Pictures will accompany this subpage as soon as I get
the digital camera to upload images correctly, not to mention clean the
stupid room. :)
If you know me IRL, than you know that my room is baby pink coloured.
When I got my room painted, I chose pink because it was (is) my favourite
color. I still love the color pink, because though it is portrayed as a girly
color, I think it has a hidden strength. My accents (furniture, blankets,
drapes) are all very girly and matching. I think that's really cute. Let me
go on to describe my favorite decorative stuffs.
- My Bed. I have a queensized bed. I spend much of my time in
bed - drawing, reading, writing in my journal, doing homework and other
such stuff. My board is cool, with light up flowers hanging over it and
little pink bows on every bar. I also hang my flashlight, gel mask and
a windchime on the bedposts. I sleep with four pillows, and I change my
underbedding from pink and white checkers (summer) to silky but thick
pink sheets in the winter. I stained my beautiful bedspread with a
forever damned blue sharpie so now I just have a pink one with
no pretty bows. My bedskirt is cool, with purple, ink and white. I love
my bed.
- My Walls. Ah, the joy of decorating the walls. I have much
adorning my wall, but I have a few favorites...
- the Squares. I have five square things on one of my walls.
The first four actually look like paintings with flowers and the words
BEAUTY, INSPIRATION, COURAGE and SPIRIT. The fourth one, of course, is
a Hello Kitty sqaure with the colors on it.
- the pictures & posters. Like this fabric ladybug artwork
by Mimi which I bought at an art fair. A collage of my baby photos my
mom made. A scribble artwork by Gela. A picture of my friend Jillian's birthday
party in elementary school. A poster of a patriotic dog [EXTREME LOYALTY],
of ORLANDO BLOOM as LEGOLAS, an alien poster [INCOMING],
a giraffe poster [I'M BEAUTIFUL] and a CARD
CAPTOR SAKURA poster from an oriental store in Ohio. A poem called
My Daddy, M.D.. A cross-stich artwork by my great-grandmother. A huge
painting of a girl jumping rope. An artwork I did in an art workshop.
- My Mirror. My mom painted the frame itself. It's really pretty,
and it has two neat masks and an angel over it.
- A paper latern thing . It's pink and really round. It's so
pretty and it hangs from my wall. I also have glow in the dark stars
on my wall.
- Neat little things to hang stuff on my wall. I got them both
at a garage sale; one's a weird looking cat and the other is just
your an oval piece of wood with nails, painted teal. I hang my belts from
the cat one and my and bunch of weird stuff on the other one (a stuffed
dice-shaped thing with flowers on it, fun ornament stuff like a metal
artwork mother and child work and a opaque snoman with a scarf my mom
knitted for him, golden tassels and a faerie-ish windchime.)
- My Computer Area. It has all of my computer stuff, with some
stuff that makes it more me. Like my Hamotaro plushie over my computer,
or the sticks on the monitor. Or the ceramic doll on the speakers, or my
fan collection next to the speakers. Or my funky courage chinese art thing
pasted onto my scanner. And my decorative basket holding all of my computer
CD's.
- My work area. It has my desk, which has been marked with markers
and stickers, as well as my file cabinet which is in the same state as my desk.
Within these objects lie much that I don't even know about. On the walls their
are my bulliten boards. I work here when I feel the need.
- My Closet.. Ah....the scariness! Filled with things to hold clothes,
including my doll house. Also hold the bookshelf where I put all my vanity
crap. I also keep my art supplies, toys and general randomness in there.
The general state of my room is
messy. I leave clothes on the floor
much of the time, but I clean up weekly. It's a cycle.
